Scouter Sinneh G. Koroma Attends Grand Opening of Sierra Leone’s Modern National Airport




History was made as Sierra Leone officially opened its newly constructed National Airport, now ranked among the best-equipped and most modern airports in the world. With state-of-the-art facilities, smart systems, and improved passenger experience, the airport represents a major leap forward in the country’s development and global connectivity.


Representing the Sierra Leone Scouts Association on a national assignment, Scouter Sinneh G. Koroma was present at this landmark event. His attendance reflects the Scouts’ ongoing commitment to national service, leadership, and youth representation in key national progress moments.



“This airport is more than a building—it’s a symbol of Sierra Leone’s potential,” said Scouter Sinneh. “I’m proud to witness this transformation and to represent the values of Scouting at such a historic moment.”


The facility boasts upgraded security, eco-friendly designs, international-standard lounges, and expanded runways to accommodate major global airlines. It is expected to boost tourism, trade, and youth mobility across Africa and beyond.
